Madapalli is a tiny village about five kilometres from Tirupattur Town.Nearby, in Madavalam, there is a Government Boys Higher Secondary School and a Government Girls Hr.Sec.School. Besides there are a number of Primary and Upper Primary Schools in the surrounding villages. But there is no English Medium School.Parents who felt the need of English Medium education had to send their children only to Tirupattur Town. At this juncture a few, who were educated in Madapalli village but serving in various Nationalised Banks, kindled with the desire to serve the community where they hail from translated their long cherished dream of serving their community in some way or the other, into reality and found an institution called Shepherds Matriculation School.
