The nomenclature of trust "Pir Panchal Educational Trust" is derived from the natural monument of integration of Jammu and Kashmir "Pir Panchal"- which is a chain of mountains encasing Kashmir Valley on its South-West side and is a crown of Jammu Province. Charles Ellison Bates and Bermier reveals that Pir Panchal is named after a saint of higher order of esteem who dwelt, on this range of mountains for at least 37 years for meditation and after his death, his mortal remains were buried there in a grave. Thus, the entire mountain range becomes sacred to his memory. Pir Panchal represents physical feature of J&K state. To cap it, the Trust "Pir Panchal Educational Trust (PPET)" came into existence.
