About Institution

Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, India's first Law Minister and the Chief Architect of the Indian Constitution, had established the People's Education Society in the year 1945, and the society had established the Siddharth Law College in the heart of Mumbai in the year 1956. We in Siddarth College of Law endeavour to inculcate this vision with a view to spread legal education to all sections of people particularly amongst the poor and the middle class. Siddarth College of Law is an institution where the ideals of scholarly excellence, human dignity, compassion and innovative leadership are valued and encouraged. We believe in what Martin Luther King, Jr. has said, “The Ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” The ideals propagated by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and Martin Luther King Jr. are all encompassing and relevant for all the time. The society is inspired by five great ideals, viz. the ideals of knowledge, the ideals of compassion, the ideal of democracy, the ideal of equality and the ideal of justice. The aim of college's education programme is to create a diverse and talented poll of students equipped with adequate legal knowledge to meet the challenges of future and to be worthy professionals.

Vision

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar always held and also was very anxious to see that the oppressed and suppressed classes, farmers and workers become conscious of their Human rights which other people in India enjoy. These oppressed and suppressed classes were made to realize by the mission of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar that they are not the slaves of the other people but they are ordinary human beings who also are entitled to ordinary Human Rights enjoyed by all civilized people in this country as well as in other parts of the world.To become a premier Institution in providing the legal education to deprived students in the city of Mumbai. In view of this situation Siddharth College of Law and its Management has been taking maximum care in reflecting the mission and goals of the founder Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar other that the general transmission and generation of knowledge through curricula. The students are persuaded and motivated to study the aforesaid subject with a view to equip them to undertake the activity of nation building and to protect the human rights of all the people and to secure justice and welfare to all the people on equal footing.

Mission

The People’s Education Society’s objective is not merely to give education, but to give education in such a manner as to promote intellectual, moral and social democracy, This is what modern India needs and this is what all well wishers of India must promote
