School run under the aegis of Chief Khalsa Diwan (CKD), a Sikh body devoted mainly to the cause of spreading education among the Sikhs, Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary Public School, GT Road, Amritsar, was established in 1967 in pursuance of the resolution adopted at the Sikh Educational Conference held at Mumbai, formerly known as Bombay. Located in the heart of the city, the institution is easily accessible from all directions.

The school is a living dream of many visionaries, who have nurtured, moulded, nourished and directed it with great care and painstaking efforts, right from its inception.
