The School has been established by the B.N. Khalsa Educational Trust, Patiala which has its origin in the magnificence and philanthropy of late S. Narain Singh, former Chief Justice of the High Court of the princely state of Patiala.In its name 'B' signifies the name of late His Highness Maharaja Sir Bhupindra Singh KCSI, while 'N' represents the name of Late S. Narain Singh. It was customary in those days to prefix the name of the ruler for the creation of the educational institution.Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Public School was started in the year 1995 by the B.N. Khalsa Educational Trust, keeping in view the ever-increasing demand from the public of Patiala for imparting quality education, which has been counted among the best institutions of Patiala.
