Sri Vijay College of Education was established in the Semi-rural area of Dharmapuri District, Tamil Nadu in the year 2006 by Sri Vijay Vidyalaya Educational Trust, DNC Compound, Gandhi Nagar, Dharmapuri - 1. Institute aims to endeavor, encourage and fulfill the student’s needs with the latest educational facilities by providing qualitative environment, Holistic transaction, Industrial partnership to inculcate the moral and ethical values, promotion of creative spirit and innovation of excellence.

Mission

Institute Mission is to groom any ordinary individual to an extraordinary efficient personality by developing their teaching skills, dedication, commitment, orientation, humanity, morality and ethics.
The B.Ed. course was recognized by the Southern Regional Committee, National Council for Teacher Education, Bangalore vide its Order F.SRO/NCTE/B.Ed./2006-07/ 9688 dated 23.12.2006 for an intake of 100 students. Subsequently, the M.Ed. course was recognized by the NCTE, vide its Order F.SRO/NCTE/B.Ed./2006-07/ 8025, dated 18.02.2008 for the intake of 25 students. The College is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University vide its order No. F.SRO/NCTE/B.Ed/2006-07/14119 dated 06/11/2007. The college is situated away from the city pollution with lush green surroundings.
By the above Programme, the college fulfills its mission and objectives to keep pace with the futuristic growing civilized world society. It intends to develop young student-teachers, who posses knowledge and confidence to adjust to the fast changing world of the competitive scenario without losing traces of humanity.
