About Institution

St. John’s College of Education is one of the many educational institutions run by St. John’s Educational Trust, Veeravanallur, Tirunelveli District. The college was started in 2006 as St. John’s College of Education at St. John’s College Campus by Mrs. E. Mangayarkarasi @ Grace Doris Hannah, M.Sc.,M.Ed.,M.Phil., who is the illustrious Founder and Manager of St. John’s Group of Institutions.

We have our own ‘Model School – St. John’s Higher Secondary School’ where we equip our B.Ed, students for practice – teaching. We also have our own ‘Matriculation School’ with Pre-Primary Sections that throw better light in to Pre-Primary Education, for ‘Electives’. We also have our own ‘Secondary Grade Training Institution’. The presence of all these institutions make our educational training programme wholesome and more meaningful, worthy and realistic.

The college aspires to prepare prospective teachers and educational leaders who are committed to life-long learning in a changing world and who seek to offer exemplary educational services to improve the quality of life in the society especially in the rural areas.
To provide harmonious education to prospective teachers that will cater to the cultural, moral, intellectual, emotional and spiritual dimensions of the sacred mission of education.
