St. Paul’s Mission School, an Anglo Indian Christian Missionary School, was started by the women members of St. Paul’s Cathedral, Kolkata. In 1884 the foundation stone of the school was laid at 5, Scott Lane, Kolkata 700009, by the Lady Carmichael. The school today is owned and controlled by the Diocese of Calcutta, Church of North India, headed by the Rt. Rev. Ashoke Biswas, Bishop of Calcutta and Chairman of the Board of Governors. Rev. Abir Adhikari is the Honorary Secretary, Mrs. Sanchita Biwas is the Principal and Mr. Charles Joseph Nyss is the Vice Principal. The school is a large, modern and well equipped co-educational institution catering to students from Nursery to Class XII.
The school aims to inculcate in its students, the virtues of piety, discipline and self reliance. The greatest emphasis is placed on the knowledge and love of God, the formation of a true moral character and an appreciation of family life. The school also trains its students to be dutiful sons and daughters of the soil as well as to be responsible citizens of the world.
