About Institution

St. Xavier's High School was established in 1940, inaugurated by the then Governor His Excellency Sir Walter Steward, on the 17th of January 1940. Fr. Marshal Moran S.J. My vision and dream for St. Xavier's is to make it a school for excellence in education. I want to see the students who pass out from this school become leaders who can transform our world into a better, more humane and dignified place to live in. We strive to create an atmosphere of excellence both in teaching and learning, making the classrooms and office hi-tech and modern. The motto of our founder St. Ignatius of Loyola is "for the Greater Glory of God". Inspired by this, we fathers and the school staff at St. Xavier's, strive to build up each student into efficient and beautiful persons who will live 'for God and Country'.
