About Institution

St. Thomas College of Education in 2008. Character building, including creative spirit and efficient intellectual formation are the hallmarks of the Catholic teaching traditions of Tuticorin diocese.

Our College is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teacher’s Education University and approved by National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE, SRC, Bangalore)

The primary aim of the institution is to provide a holistic quality teacher education to the marginalized and the poor so that they can build economically independent and socially relevant lives. In this spirit, though the institution is run by the Catholics, it admits students with a preference for the poor and the marginalized irrespective of religion.
