Sundargarh Engineering College, Sundargarh (KIREI) started in the year 2007 is one of the premier Technical Institution in the Western Orissa managed by the Institute of Technical Training a society registered under SR act for the development of Technical Education. It offers 4 years B.Tech courses in different Engineering branches with the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi, recognized by Government of Orissa and affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) Rourkela.

The Institute has been situated at Kirei just at a motorable distance from the District headquarter town Sundargarh and is most easily approachable by the State Highway-10 connecting Sambalpur-Jharsuguda-Sundargarh & Rourkela.
It is surrounded by the extensions of OUAT Research Centre, Kendriya Vidyalaya & Model School. It’s superb serene beneath the Western mountains of Orissa, by the side of IB river, in a cool and clean climate and pollution free environment that induce the mind of the Students to study deeply. The scenic beauty of this area is enhanced with the surroundings of unmatched tranquility.
