Swami Dhananjoy Das Kathiababa established this centre of learning in the year 2009. The mission of this institution is, not only to build career of the learners but also to inculeate in them strong sense of humanity, brotherhood and responsibility towards their parents and the society at large.
The college is still in its juvemo;e stage and requires further support from the Govt. and the people of this locality to meet the demand of the present generation. There are various constrains towards teaching-learing process. Shortage of teacher : student ratio, infrastructure and communication facilities, lack of people care on the part of guardian, etc. are the few examples. The college is not yet in a position to come under 2f and 12 B for receiving UGC grant. The college has not yet received recommendation of any full time teaching post from the CSC.
In spite of several drawbacks / constrains we are able to form students' Union for the first time. This would help us to become acquainted with the problems of the students. Meeting with the guardians of educationally backward students enabled the letter to become regular. For the benefit of the students full time permanent faculty members of different subjects of neighbouring colleges have given their consent to give lectures as per specific need of our students. Our existing teachers have also made commitment to provide coaching to the students beyond thier class room teaching. These would partially fulfill the academic need of students.
Considering the demand of the people we have sent proposal for opening Hons. Courses in Geography and Physical Education, which are now waiting for consideration of the Univeristy and the Higher Education Council. WE have recently completed the recruitment of eight non teaching staff. No doubt this would faciliate the student' requirement if office related affairs.
