About Institution

As a memorial for the great leader Quaide Milleth Janab M. Muhammad Ismail Sahib, the Quaide Milleth College for Men was formally inaugurated on 24th July 1975 by the then Chief Minister. At present the college offers 10 UG courses and one PG course and Research programmes in Commerce M.Phil., and Ph.D. The College is affiliated to the University of Madras and functions as Co-educational Institution. The College is easily accessible from Tambaram, Saint Thomas Mount, Sholinganallur, and Velachery as it is located near Medavakkam, on the Tambaram Velachery Main Road. The college can be reached by buses which ply frequently on the Tambaram Velachery road and St. Thomas Mount – Tambaram Road,
The Quaide Milleth College for Men is managed by The Quaide Milleth Educational and Social Trust. The Secretary & Correspondent Alhaj M.G. Dawood Miakhan sahib, grandson of Quaide Milleth is so magnanimous that the students of all communities are treated equally. The students belonging to weaker section of the society particularly SC, ST, OBC, Minorities are admitted in large numbers in excess over the allotted quota.

Vision

The aim of the college is to foster in teachers and students and through them in society, the attitudes and values needed for developing good life in individuals and society with an enhanced focus on underprivileged and downtrodden communities.

Mission

Towards achievement of the goal we have taken up a mission to make women and the weaker sections of the society capable enough to contribute to the Nation building. Students from minority and backward communities are admitted in large numbers and prepare them to achieve academic excellence, along with social and national commitment and career competence.
