Thiagarajar Polytechnic College, the premier institution with its remarkable fifty six years of existence has been catering the needs of technical manpower after post independence. The greatest glory that the polytechnic college has been conferred with the Best Polytechnic College Award by the Government of Tamil Nadu stands testimony to the exemplary performances in results, placement, infrastructure, continuing education programmes, strength of alumni, extension services and the like. It is a proud feat that the diploma programmes viz., Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Production Engineering and Textile Technology were accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi for ten years.
