For advance clinical learning experience students have designated clinical hours at parent hospital under the supervision and guidance of Clinical instructors, experience Nursing Staff and Doctors.

The Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Lucknow, the local branch centre of the world famous Ramakrishna Mission, P.O. Belur Math, District Howrah, West Bengal, was started in a small way in 1914, for humanitarian work, by a band of young people inspired by the lofty teachings of Swami Vivekananda, the great patriot saint of India.

Vision

The College philosophy is consistent with the noble ethos of the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, P.O. Belur Math, District Howrah, West Bengal and Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi. Keeping in view the importance of National Integration, the College believes in training professional nurses from all States of India and even abroad to meet the challenges of the modern health care delivery system, in conformity with the discipline of nursing profession. Nursing is a lifelong service to the people and therefore, the Vivekananda College of Nursing, Lucknow, focuses on preparing students for maximum professional effectiveness throughout their career.

Mission

In pursuance of the said philosophy, the aims and objectives of the College are to empower young women that predominantly opt for nursing as a career as well as provide opportunities for the students to acquire and develop:
A sound theoretical and practical knowledge of Nursing care at basic as well as advanced level, contributing to the promotive, preventive, restorative and rehabilitative aspects of health.
The ability to plan and act independently with full responsibilities as a qualified Nurse and as a spiritual human being.
