Krista Tippett (Weedman, born November 9, 1960) is a Peabody Award-winning journalist, a New York Times bestselling author, public intellectual, and entrepreneur. She created and hosts the public radio program and podcast On Being. In 2014, Tippett, was awarded the National Humanities Medal by President Obama at the White House "for thoughtfully delving into the mysteries of human existence. On the air and in print, Ms. Tippett avoids easy answers, embracing complexity and inviting people of all faiths, no faith, and every background to join the conversation."
