Roop Mallik is an Indian biologist who works on nanoscale molecular motor proteins that transport material such as virus, mitochondria, endosomes etc. inside living cells. These motors generate forces of the order of pico-Newtons.He received Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Awards-2014.
