About Institution

Govt. Polytechnic, Sambalpur was newly established and functional at Rengali in July -2013. Rengali is located at a distance of 20 K.M. from Sambalpur (District Headquarters) at western part of Odisha. It is well connected by road and railways. The Institution is situated at a distance of about 1.5 K.M.(near Block Office) from the BUS STOP and about 1 K.M. from Rengali Railway Station. The Sprawling campus is an idyllic location of 10 acres has Academic Block, Administrative Block, Workshop building, Staff Quarters, Boy’s Hostel and Girl’s Hostel. The Campus has a serene environment partially surrounded be hills and greenery all round.

This Premier Government Polytechnic is providing four streams of engineering course viz Civil Engg. , Mechanical Engg. , Electrical Engg. & Electronics and Tele Communication Engg., catering to the need of students in Technical era. This institution is recognised by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi and affiliated to State Council for Technical education And Vocational Training (SCTE&VT), ODISHA, Bhubaneswar. It is controlled by Directorate of Technical Education & Training (DTE&T) Odisha, Cuttack Under the Department of Employment & Technical Education and Training (E&TE&T) Government of Odisha.
