About Institution

The Jay Jyoti School, Sholtu, Tapri was founded in May 2008 by the Jaiprakash Sewa Sansthan with the primary aim of giving new impetus and direction to education in the remote areas of the Kinnaur District in H.P. The school started to function on 1st May 2008 with 154 students and 9 teachers and had classes from Nursery to VII. Presently it has 259 students and 22 teachers and is up to class-XI.

Vision

To bring awareness and wholesome education in this remote area of Himachal Pradesh. The hallmark of a Jay Jyoti student is a sterling character, commitment to excellence and consistency in performance.

Mission

The mission of the School is to ‘Ignite Every Mind’ in all spheres of knowledge. It aims at promoting sound moral values – good behavior, discipline, courtesy, honesty, national pride and unity, confidence and a cooperative spirit. Also, it is committed to encourage scientific temperament and develop the overall personality of its students.
