- In 1995, became 1 dan pro.
- In 1998, promoted to 2p.
- In 1999, promoted to 3p.
- In 2003, advanced to 9p, became the youngest 9p (21) and the fastest player to reach 9p from 1p (8 years).
- In 1995, won 5th BC Card Cup (Tengen) champion.
- In 2000, won 8th Baedalwang champion, 5th Chunwon title and the best player award for the year, at one point winning 32 consecutive pro games.
- In 2001, 5th LG Cup second place.
- In 2002, won 5 titles, 15th Fujitsu Cup champion, 12th BC Cup New Pro Wang champion, 6th SK New Pro Stars Best 10 champion, KTF Cup champion and 7th LG Refined Oil Cup champion, and won the best player award again.
- In 2003, won 7th LG Cup champion by beating Lee Changho 3:1 in the final, 2nd KT Cup second place, and won 16th Fujitsu Cup champion by defeating Song TaeKon.
- In 2004, won the champion of 9th Samsung Cup and the champion of 2nd Toyota Cup World Oza.
- In 2005, won the champion of the 6th Maxim Cup and won 18th Fujitsu Cup champion.
- In 2006, successfully defended his Maxim Cup champion and won 25th KBS Baduk Wang and 11th GS Caltex Cup champion.
- On 1/9/2007, won 3rd Toyota Cup champion again by defeating Cho U 2:1 in the final.
- In 2007, again successfully defended his Maxim Cup champion, won Asian TV Cup champion, 35th Myungin title and 51st Guksu title.
- In 2008, won 12th Samsung Cup champion, won 12th LG Cup champion and successfully defended his Asian TV Cup champion.
- In 2009, successfully defended his Samsung Cup champion and Guksu title.
- In 2010, won 2nd World BC Card Cup champion and the eleventh world champion of his Go career, won 6th Prices Information Cup champion and 1st Olleh KT Cup champion.
- In 2011, won 6th Sibdang Cup champion and 8th Chunlan Cup champion.
